Heavy-Duty Adhesive Hooks

I have found Command hooks to be extremely useful in my kitchen where I use various types of Command products to hang pot holders, a poster that blocks my circuit breaker box, shopping tote bags, and a much needed step ladder. They are a very inexpensive DIY design-hack. The plastic hooks like these do wear out over time. So after about 2 years one of the hooks holding my step ladder snapped. That's not a slam on the product. It's good long life for a hook that gets used all the time! I was able to easily replace it with a new hook. I had to remove the old sticky strip which took patience. I used a hair blower for more than a minute to warm up the glue and was able to slowly work it off without leaving a mark. I cleaned and prepped the wall with alcohol and then put the new hook on and voila -- perfect storage for my step ladder! My only critique is that while sometimes the hooks wear out especially if you are using them to prop heavy items and keep them in place, I wish I could have bought one or two hooks in a package as I dislike storing stuff, and I may not need another hook for a good long while.

Even in humid Mumbai weather, these haven’t failed.

Used it for fairy lights and small frames. Looks beautiful!
